** Involvement - Mine & Yours

I enjoy being your commissioner. It is rewarding to me to make a difference in the county I love. But I have to tell you, it is a lot of work. It is almost a full-time job. Being your Commissioner is more than just meeting two days a month. In addition to work sessions, training, and invitations to a large number of County events and activities, I also have the honor of representing Chatham on multiple boards and committees.

Below is just a partial listing of these groups:

* Central Carolina Community College Board of Trustees
* Economic Development Corporation Board
* Solid Waste Advisory Committee

In addition, I serve as commissioner liaison to the following boards and committees:

* Appearance Commission
* Board of Equalization and Review
* Child Fatality Prevention Team
* Child Protective Service Review Board
* Land Use Implementation
* Piedmont Conservation Council
* Triangle J Appearance Committee
* Triangle Regional Solid Waste Committee

I believe it is important to be connected to your community. I invite you to review the committees and boards serving Chatham County. If you haven't done so, I invite you to join the over 400 Chatham County Citizens currently serving on these important endeavors. If not on these boards, volunteer in your community. After all, this is your County too.
